EPF Calculator — 8.25% Interest, Retirement Corpus (2026)
Project your Employees' Provident Fund corpus at 8.25% — the FY 2025-26 rate recommended by the CBT in March 2026 and ratified in June 2026, the third consecutive year at 8.25%.
How the EPF contribution works
You contribute 12% of basic+DA every month. Your employer contributes another 12%, split as 3.67% to your EPF account and 8.33% to EPS (pension) — with EPS capped at the ₹15,000 wage ceiling, i.e. a maximum of ₹1,250/month. This calculator uses the simplified split below, so results are labelled approximate; if your basic exceeds ₹15,000, your actual employer EPF credit (12% of basic minus the fixed ₹1,250 EPS share) is higher, so your real corpus can be larger.
compounded at 8.25% ÷ 12 monthly · salary grows by your increment % each year
Example: on ₹30,000 basic+DA, the simplified monthly EPF credit is ₹4,701 (₹3,600 + ₹1,101), while ₹1,250 goes to EPS.
Approximate EPF corpus at 8.25% (with 5% yearly increment)
| Basic + DA today | Age → Retirement | Approx. corpus |
|---|---|---|
| ₹15,000 | 33 → 58 (25 yrs) | ₹36,31,324 |
| ₹30,000 | 30 → 58 (28 yrs) | ₹99,73,110 |
| ₹50,000 | 28 → 58 (30 yrs) | ₹2,04,10,240 |
Without any salary increment, ₹30,000 basic over 28 years still builds about ₹61,50,690 — the increment is what pushes the corpus near ₹1 crore.
